Title: RCMP is abandonning its hunt to illegal music downloaders in Canada
Post by: m-p{3} on November 09, 2007, 03:53:03 pm
Just saw that in the local news here in Montreal. The source (http://lcn.canoe.ca/lcn/infos/national/archives/2007/11/20071108-160404.html) of the news is in french, but I'll do an overall translation here.

According to the RCMP (FBI equivalent for Canada), the reason is simple: they don't know how to eradicate the problem, as music sharing is far too easy to accomplish with today technological means. They admitted that catching illegal music downloaders is not on of their priorities anymore.

Wether all admit it or not, 75% of the internet is illegal music downloaders.

Hell i know of christians (that indeed take their religion seriously ; god camps, church, prayer) for gods sake who download from kazaa/emule/torrent, music and movies and TV programs online, everyday. If its still considered a crime, guess they are all going to hell for their sins :D
