Great job on the model, brings back old civilian-crushing times.

Is it ridable in Multiplayer? :P

Hahah i told some of the dev team that people were going to ask that question lol.

At the moment it's just a static prop.  It is very hard to get a working vehicle in multiplayer but we do hope to, in the future, make it possible but for the foreseable future it's not going to happen sorry.  We would love to have it happen but we currently lack the coders to embark on such a thing.

I'm currently in the process of UVW mapping it and i'm about 65% done so expect a textured version by the end of the month(?)

As you can see from the pic the barrel is able to clip through solid objects. So you can drive against the side of a wall, turn the cannon so it goes through the wall and inside the building, then blow up anything within the room. MAGIC ;)

Yep it's a new gadget, 007, a transphasic barrel able to phase in and out of time  ;D

It would still be more realistic than the shit invisible Aston Martin.

The tank used in the movie was a T-55 adapted to look like a T-80BV which has explosive reactive armor. Basically, those little pad type things on the front. I can't find good reference pics, but the tank should have looked like this: (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/05/T-80.jpg)

Here is the chase scene from the movie. You can see what I'm talking about when looking at the front. http://www.ifilm.com/video/2825552

I'm not sure if this is the final model or not, but I think you should reconsider the overall design of the tank. In my opinion it doesn't look quite right.

Detail = POLIES.  Without all of that armour it's already 5,700 triangles so adding more detail would increase that.

When you have a poly limit you have to compramise i'm afraid  ;D

i also know wat it looks like and it IS a beta lol

Yea, that is one of the reason I stopped trying to model.

Since those pads are really close together, we could have them as clusters, without driving the polycount much higher, and making them fade on lods. Wouldn't be noticeable if we throw in some ambient occlusion, which would define better the shapes.

But to be honest I really don't care much, because it's looking freaking awesome already

Well i tell you what i'll add some any way as a "type 2" tank and see how that looks shouldn't take more than an hour (but i'll post it on the dev forum first  ;) )

***EDIT***

Nope it's no good i'd have to completely re-model the tank as the explosive armour just doesn't fit it properly because it's a different class.  So this one will have to do for now sorry, chaps lol.

I think, well i'm pretty sure, that THIS is the version used in the movie:

Now i just need to find more pics of it lol.
