Title: [BUG] Different movement speed when crouching/aiming
Post by: namajnaG on November 20, 2015, 04:32:34 pm
I was just fooling around and noticed that I made footsteps when aiming and crouching, whereas usually you don't make any footsteps when crouching and moving forward. I decided to take a look into it further and noticed that the speed looked slightly different, so I turned on showpos and it indeed is different.
I highly doubt this was intended in the first place (as it doesn't make much sense) so I decided to post it here.

Here's a video showing the velocity when crouching without aiming and then when aiming ;

We're aware of this and it has been fixed for the next version of the game.

I think KM once said that crouch-aim speed was a deliberate mechanic, but I don't know if he was being serious or not...

I remember VC and I having a discussion about this way back in the day... it was deliberate but it didn't make sense. More like an easter egg thing because we can :-)
