Hello all... I'm trying to set up a GE:S on Ubuntu 18.04, but I'm running into the Segmentation fault (core dumped) error. I followed the SteamCMD guide and the GES guide on the wiki, and I spent quite a few hours trying to troubleshoot, and followed along with the thread regarding the same problem using Ubuntu 16.04. Even though the issues may be so similar, I'd rather make a new thread than piggyback off a dead one.


I'm trying to run this script 'sudo ./GES.sh'

I was also running into a different issue with missing assets, but was able to correct it by using a script to capitalize the folders in the gesource directories.

I set a rule for port 27015 on ufw, and also tried it with ufw disabled.  I also have port forwarding set up. I don't feel that either of these things are causing my issues though... I've outlined pretty much everything I've tried so far, but does anyone else have any suggestions?

If there's one thing I've learned from a couple years of being a supporter and gamer on this mod, it's that these things take time, due to the nature of its development by volunteers... but are always well worth the wait.

I remember when I unlocked the legendary All Weapons cheat upon completing Egyptian in less than ridiculous 6 minutes.. the level was easy to do in less than a minute (if you knew the path to get the goldeneye gun without activating the sentry "drones") lol.. this was before Nintendo revealed the button combination cheats in 2000. Was amazed of all the dual wielding guns and Taser called my attention. Has anybody thought of adding Taser into GE:S? If not I don't mind, the mod is perfect... But why not room for more additions. Would be fun to have it in team gungame before the golden gun..  by the way this taser worked like a gun, one shot per time and didn't have to be reloaded. infinite "ammo" like laser.
