Experience?
« on: August 11, 2007, 05:22:00 pm »

Hi, I would really like to help with the GE: Source Project but I have no experience in game design. I just wanted to know if anyone knows of anyplace or anything that could help me learn what is required to be on the Dev team. Oh, and I'm not talking about a professional college education, thanks.

I suppose level design or mapmaking. I'm supposing Hammer would come into play there?

Thanks, I'll look into that. I don't know how long it will take me to get used to this, though, months, possibly.

It just depends on how dedicated you are, and how much time you spend on it.  Just keep cranking out maps and trying new stuff, and eventually you'll get good.  But make no mistake about it, your first couple maps will be crap :P
