Title: [startup] GE:S Won't start.

When I press play GE:S in steam library it shows a "Failed to create d3d" error.

From what I've heard, it's a possible vid card driver error, but this has never happened to me with any other source games.

Also, to further note, I was able to play the game. RIGHT after I installed it, but I got off, and then tried to play again, it gave this d3d error.

vidcard: ati 5850

Have you installed the newest drivers from ati?
Have you restarted steam?
Verified source 2007 base?
Installed the newest direct x?
