Has anyone given any thought about adding some Perfect Dark weapons to GE source? As much as I love the GE weapons, theres not very many weapons, so It can get a little boring using the same weapons after a while. I think it'd be cool to have a few PD guns to spice things up. Like the k7 avenger, Ar34, cmp150 and the cyclone. I bet it'd be fairly easy to get these weapons because we could just import them from Perfect Dark source. What do you guys think?

Well, Perfect Dark had Goldeneye weapons in it. I see no reason why Goldeneye can't have Perfect Dark weapons. Just thinking out loud : )

Perfect Dark had GoldenEye's weapons on it as a bonus, not in the main game (unless you talk about the Xbox Live game, which they enabled them for multiplayer for the "classic" mode), and they added them probaly just as a tribute to their work in GE.
Also porting the guns from other people's work is not a really good idea.

Implementing PD Weapons with all funktionality would require a lot of recoding and testing.
Not to talk about balance issues and everything else that could occure.
Adding them just as alternate skins for some of our current weapons would be rather easy, but wouldn't change anything in weapons behavior.

That would be cool! Like the cmp could replace the klobb, the k7 avenger in place of the ak47 (forgot the fakey name for it) the cyclone replaces the rcp90 and so on

I'd say:

Falcon=PP7
MagSec=DD44
CMP=ZMG
K7=KF7
AR34=AR33
RC-P120=RCP90
LaptopGun=Phantom
Dragon=D5K
Super Dragon=GL for secondary fire

Sniper Rifle, DY357 Magnum, Mines, Knifes and Shotgun are obviouse i think.
Cyclon and some other weapons, especially the alien ones of PD don't really have a counterpart.
Maybe one of these could replace the laser, but it wouldn't really work like the original weapon.

In the end, even doing this quick and dirty skinswap approach would require some serious effort
noone on the team would be willing to invest his time into right now.

In the end there would be next to no benefit in doing this, even if we could get permission to use the weapon models of PDS.

And even once we can call GES Multiplayer completed feature and content wise, i'd only considder doing things like that if there's a way to limit the alternative skins for weapons, items and maybe even playermodels to the PD maps.

I'd be perfectly okay with a community mod where it's just a model swap like how there is a Nightfire Pierce Brosnan model swap for Bond, I like the idea of adding them in like how Perfect Dark had GE weapons but fully understand if most of the team probably doesn't want to.
Still a huge shame that the Perfect Dark: Source mod was cancelled, had so much potential but because it was canned so early on, it isn't that good....or functional for that matter, either that or I just couldn't figure it out. lol

dont worry about it- maybe once the mod is finished there can be mods for mods like replacing the guns with PD Weapons but it might be a while till that happens

i thought there is a new mod group now trying to gather people to remake PD
