Where are the gameplay hints?
I think it would be a good idea to have them translated as well.
I double-checked the spelling on everything, Added the new lines and translated them and fixed every typo as well as polishing grammar on several assets.
And what would you mean by the script being structured like the English version, Precisely? I can rework it if really neccesary.
As for the character biographies, I haven't written them in, My mistake, I'm on it.
How can I add the Italian Gameui and Mp3player?Create the page: http://wiki.geshl2.com/index.php/Gameui_italian (http://wiki.geshl2.com/index.php/Gameui_italian) and Paste this page over it and translate it: http://wiki.geshl2.com/index.php/Gameui_english (http://wiki.geshl2.com/index.php/Gameui_english).
Don't do mp3 player
I'll look into it, which font? If you don't know the font, which vgui elements, such as the scoreboard, round report, team menu, etc.All of them seem to suffer from it, except in the menu, I think its the Trebuchet MS font which is ok. The rest not working are Adventure Subtitles, aescrawl, Canarsie Slab JL, and DS Moster.
I'm not even sure who did it last time, but in know i tried something with a font editing program somewhen.*Raises the hand*.
Here's release 2 of the European fonts.Uh... I've put the fonts in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods\gesource\resource and it's still the same, though when looking at the ttfs Adventure Subtitles seems to miss the letter ą.
Updates:
- Changed the way the original EFIGS accents are used, the fonts should have less KB.
- Added Polish accent support. And other characters that used the current accents. Please tell me if something's missing or wrong (Probably the German B's).
Test them througly so there's no characters missing. Thank you.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?p7pvy3oyotpml4q (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?p7pvy3oyotpml4q)I did remove the " - Euro" part and replace all the files.
Fixed that missing letter, added Unicode support to two of the fonts.
It is important that you know that you can't directly paste these fonts onto the folder. You have to remove the " - Euro" part and replace the originals.
In order to see all the goods in these fonts you will have to modify the ClientScheme.res and SourceScheme.res in the resource folder. Go through the files and look for where it says:Got it but will it be included in 4.2? I got friends to play with from Poland.
"range" "0x0000 0x007F" // Basic Latin
DELETE THIS LINE
Then the font will render past character 128
Trebuchet MS works, but the Polish letters look strange in it, not sure if fixable...What's "Strange"? Trebuchet MS is a standard Windows font. If it's wrong, it can be fixed.
What's "Strange"? Trebuchet MS is a standard Windows font. If it's wrong, it can be fixed. You can easily see that the letters seem to deform a little: http://i.imgur.com/2LFJb.jpg (http://i.imgur.com/2LFJb.jpg)
EDIT: Hope you don't mind if I remind of some graphics with text embedded that could have a little "de-graphic". Like, "OHMSS PROFILE" (VGUI/charselect/folder), "OMHSS: AFTER ACTION REPORT" (VGUI/roundreport/background_FFA and background_team).
You can easily see that the letters seem to deform a little: http://i.imgur.com/2LFJb.jpg (http://i.imgur.com/2LFJb.jpg)OK, that's odd. Wasn't that Tahoma, not Trebuchet?
OK, that's odd. Wasn't that Tahoma, not Trebuchet? How could that be Tahoma, there's no files for it in the game directory ::) Looking at the p letter really, I think it's Trebuchet.
How could that be Tahoma, there's no files for it in the game directory ::) Looking at the p letter really, I think it's Trebuchet.Well, the Source Engine not only reads the TTFs located in the game directory, it also takes the fonts from Windows itself. And I remember that the "official" achievement lists of Source (Check Team Fortress 2 and the HL2 games) had the exact same font.
Interesting... I am not sure how to address this problem for all languages. I would say just leave it plural.Well, on Perfect Dark: Source, we duplicated each line that had the singular/plural variable. That's the best option for most of the languages.
OOOOOOH k, I have fixed it. I changed all pluralized sentences to have two localizations one normal and one plural. The plural one ends in _P.Thank you very much, updated Spanish.
I'm working on this line:
"GES_GP_SHOWDOWN" "Showdown!"
I never played the new version so, what is "Showdown!" exactly referred to?
Is anyone able to do the Portuguese translation?
What does the %s1 refer to:
"GE_TIP_TITLE" "%s1 Tip:"
Is it like Tip about %s1, it's hard to solve...
Uhm... this method is surely very convenient for English, but for Italian it doesn't work. You use "Tip about the %s1." You can switch the position of the variable. I think I did that as well.
In Italian you can't say "Radar Tip", you must say "Tip about the Radar".
So, how should I translate it?
Sorry to bother you guys again: little question...
After the colon should I leave an empty space?
You should add a function which would reduce the font's size when a word is too long, or just make it so that there is a limit of the letters in the quotation marks, so that one can shorten the word with a dot, the 3 dots at the end aren't as clear.Well, sometimes, it's up to the own translator to shorten the lines.
If you can get it to work prior to the patch release (within 1 week or so), I will incorporate itIf you're planning a patch here's the bug list:
The ß is replaced by a horizontally flipped R now in DS Moster.I'm on it.
This is very interesting.... sorry for being harsh before was a bit spun up about the other bugs hehe.I wonder if something similar happens on Source Engine games when the game's in Russian or Japanese. Just to get to the point of the issue.
There must be some undocumented behavior at play here in the font definitions... I really wish valve documented this stuff better
VGF, thanks for the font update. You're welcome. Spanish done. What about these:
You guys asked for it, here are the translations to be done for the upcoming v4.2.1 client patch:
http://wiki.geshl2.com/index.php?title=Gesource_english&diff=5041&oldid=5007
Please have these done within 24 hours. Thanks!
You're welcome. Spanish done. What about these:
- Spectator (under Join Game)
- MAP: (Whatever map)
Both of these are in the Join game/Select team screen.
"MAP:" will stay, it needs to be short and it has no contextual value.Thank you very much, Spanish updated again.
Spectator added:

One more thing i ran into today when checking the translation ingame:
The achivement descriptions intersect with the progress bar if the description is on two lines.
Should be more or less an issue in all languages unless you use much less words to describe it in your language.
Not ecaktly a big issue but it would be good if users could actually read the whole text on how to get the achivement.
Also added a minor update for the german translation, too.
There are a lot of problems with the Italian translation...What's the lenght issues? Sometimes, we translators have no choice than shorten the lines. The only exception would be the Achievement descriptions, as the size is wrong.
Most of them are related to the sentences lenght and to the font dimensions.
Is it possible to do something about it?
What's the lenght issues? Sometimes, we translators have no choice than shorten the lines. The only exception would be the Achievement descriptions, as the size is wrong.
The problem is that Italian is not synthetic as English and sometimes is very difficult to shorten the lines.I can say the same in Spanish, we have to do some tricks to avoid the genre and number mismatch (Check the Spanish version and you should see some colons around).
Is possible to programm the game to reduce the font dimension if the line isn't displayed correctly?I think the team has answered those questions a few posts above.
Anyway I've started shortening lines... but I have a request: Is there a way to test my translation in game?

Open file \steamapps\sourcemods\BMS\resource\ClientScheme.res
Find section "CenterPrintText" (subsection of Fonts). Then working in this section only.
There are several options, the most appropriate -
delete the line
"custom" "1"
(there are other ways to do the same, for example delete the line "antialias" "1", but this look worse because antialiasing off)
Hereupon the Russian characters will render by some system Unicode font, it's probably Tahoma, while the English characters remain the way they were.
So if you need a combination of Russian and English characters in same font - have to sacrifice even English font and replace "DIN 1451 Mittelschrift" to "Tahoma".
Viva Tahoma...
P.S. Thanks to IlDucci for hint.
If I want 3 rounds in an 18 minute span, does the game automatically do the division now?
