Title: A question about official maps.
Post by: Zippy on January 26, 2011, 04:43:43 am
I've noticed that ge_casino has been added to the mod, despite the fact that the map didn't exist in the original game. I was wondering, if I made a good enough map, would it be made official like ge_casino?

If not, can I at least have some help advertising it? My unfinished map is in my sig.

Playability and quality.  Casino was around for at least a year before Luch joined the team.  After that it was upgraded immensely.

So it is possible, just needs to be good, liked and fit the theme of course.

I see. Would like to be the tester of my map, Enzo?

I also want to add that Ge_Casino fits into the atmosphere of secondary Bond maps, similar to Egyptian and Aztec. Ge_Casino features the key area featured in Casino Royale.

If another map was going to be added that was not in GoldenEye, it would have to feature a key area to that movie (or game). Personally I would love a NightFire map (Skyrail), but that's just me.

Personally i think a map that isnt directly based on somewhere from another Bond film should never be an official map. Maps from other Bond games that were never in any film would be a possible exception, but there really isnt many of them that are worth their salt imo.

Regardless, I still need a tester.
