Hey guys, new here. I downloaded the most recient .exe from the ModDB website and installed it. However, it's not showing up in my steam games list. I can play it using the shortcut it put on my desktop just fine. Now, heres the odd thing, when I open the shortcut, it opens "Source SDK Base 2007", not "Goldeneye: Source." Thats what shows up to other people in my friends list as well. Even stranger, theres no specific .exe listed in the shortcut for this game... this is what the shortcut links to:
"C:\Program Files\Steam\steam.exe" -applaunch 218 -game "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\sourcemods\gesource"
I've tried looking around for an .exe to add on steam, but I've turned up nothing.
Can someone help? It'd be nice to have a proper link to the game in steam.
PS: This game is awesome so far. The only thing I've noticed thats missing are the original N64 ricochet sound effects.

Have you tried completely closing steam (which includes the taskbar) and then restarting it after you installed it?

Check that the mod is installed to steam/steamapps/sourcemods/gesource
If it's installed to that directory then simply restarting Steam will add it to your games list.

Ah, the restart of Steam did it. The strange thing is, i've opened and closed steam numerous times since I installed it, and even rebooted the computer several times. Strange. Anyway, it works now. Thanks. :)

Richochet sounds have been added to v4.1.

The old half-life 2 sounds get kinda boring after hearing them in oh.... every source game ever? :P
