Steam or GE:S?
« on: October 07, 2014, 08:17:06 am »

Steam was working fine before. Now, when I open Steam, on Win7, it has the GE:S logo. And after I open GE:S through Steam, close it, and open it again, it says GE:S is still running. Is there a way to fix this?

A side effect of Windows 7's dumb window grouping. If you open Steam with the GE:S shortcut, the taskbar assumes that's the application's icon. It doesn't happen if you have your windows ungrouped.

Common issue. Exit hl2.exe, either through task manager, or using "taskkill /f /im hl2.exe". Afaik there isn't really a way for you to prevent this happening again.
