A lot of this is in the server configuration. It can be adjusted using server commands client-side. Stop by the GE:S official Discord and folks can walk you through it there if you have any questions - the forums aren't actively used very much.

I am totally new to PC gaming / Counterstrike-style games. I was able to get G:S working along with a PS4 controller.

In the N64 version of Goldeneye, before a match, you had the option to select the level, game modes, and cheats like DK mode or paintball. I can't figure out how to do this is G:S. Every time I go to play, I'm just dropped in randomly -- even when running my own server.

Since I'm such a novice, I feel like I'm unfamiliar with the language being used. So searching for an answer to this problem (or the controller problem) resulted in no answers. I'm probably using the wrong terms.

I might need a very rudimentary guide.

I'm also perplexed. I have 5.0, steam,  and source SDK installed too. All I wanted to do was play a bot lan game with my son. But the server doesn't show up . I see all of these "port allowances" and "commands" but.. I'm not code smart anymore. At all.
Anyone interested in helping walk me through it? Or should we just join a server and get wrecked? Kinda wish there was a server with bots and a few spots for players

This map needs more recognition, I think Graslu00 never featured it on it's chanel and its a shame, it's a funny map and very faithfull to the movie, even if it's not top notch quality graphics.

If you have time, try to find the easter egg on the Counter-Strike 1.6 version of the map (there a teleporter somewhere, and honestly, I don't remember at all where it is... ^^)

You can just copy your gesource folder to Steam\steamapps\sourcemods on your new PC and it will work. In particular the files you’ll need to preserve your achievements are

* gamestate.txt
* gesdata.txt (if it exists)

These both reside inside the gesource folder.

I have GE:S on an external drive in case that helps! However it also makes me wonder...would they still show or would i have to reinstall?

Hiya! I've been playing GE:S for a while now and unlocked some achievements, but recently I swapped PCs and now am a bit worried that my achievements will be gone. Is there anyway I can move my achievements from one PC to another/where i can find the location of a file? Sorry if this seems a little bit redundant or dumb!
