Beware! This week brings forth the deadliest weapon of all, even more powerful than the Golden Gun. Wait.....nevermind.

The Klobb! Arguably the most notorious weapon in all of Goldeneye 64, it's now making its way into Goldeneye Source. Modelled by Baron and you cant get more like the original than that!

And as an extra bonus for this week, a newly textured DD44. Quite the improvement over its predecessor.

Did the trigger on the DD44 not get textured? It looks like primer gray to me.

Ahhh yes. The Klobb.  Now that spam is a viable tactic, I'll need to ensure testing verifies that it sucks enough.

Doesn't look gray to me.  That DD44 is the one in the current dev build, I think one of the devs wanted to to make another version as well, so if they do that the release version may be significantly different.  We'll be sure to update it in the gallery if that happens.

Was there really that much of a demand for the Klobb? Just couldn't think of a good enough excuse for not putting it in I'll bet

ViaC got bored owning people with the throwing knife and needed something worse to balance out the playing field. Although he'll probably have some witty reply to this that even with the Klobb he would still be at the top of the leader board, BUT IT'S NOT TRUE.

Depends. Are the other players armed with geostationary bananas or do they have guns that do damage and stuff?  If so, I may need to rely on throwing the Klobb, letting the autoswtich give me a window, and killing them by shoving the Q Pen up their nostrils.

Aye indeed the slobb (sorry klobb) was a weapon of pure spam. I can't complain though nearly every over weapon in this game is spam tastic !  Nice textures on the klobb though.

You think it was bad before.  Reports on the revised weapons I cooked up are that they're even more spammy fun.  Not that I know from experience. They don't let me in on the betatests because.

Well lets hope not eh ? Although the positive side of spammy weapons would mean an influx of noobs that will pick up the mod for a week or so then go and play quake for some more spammy fun :)

I used the Spider a lot on the COD4 beta and i was owning people with it lol.  Not a bad gun at all imo

I would like to see laser mine (Don't remember the true name) it was really cool to use them in multiplayer mode. I'm only 13 years old but I remember when I was playing with my brother.

Yeah sorry! (Last time I played I didn't have my computer...I have it on my N64 but can't find it. I will search for it this weekend) But...I played a game (With our friend James Bond!) where we were able to put laser mine... Maybe it wasn't the same...

only game i recall having a "laser mine" was Duke Nukem (64 in my case) was the one that was a rectangle with buttons on it.. with a circle in the middle of which a laser came out of. if thats what your thinking of?...

Half-Life and Half-Life 2 both have laser trip mines.

You're thinking of 007: Nightfire. It was a multi-platform game with tripmines.

Did it have a P99, Desert Eagle and HL1 Gauss Gun-ish Phoenix Laser Cannon?

Best Case Scenario: All the Devs and PTs are vigorously working on PlayTesting rather than updating.  While we found a wonderful Web Designer that is going to update the site in a matter of seconds.  Then we shall have a YouTube link of leaked PlayTesting spec'd by Boris over SourceTV.

LOL ryan i was waiting for that. I havnt joined black masa yet cause i have had a roller coaster month with uni (and exams soon). But i have some ideas in the works of what im going to do.

this is a free mod and people will spend time on it when they can. So some weeks you will have more done than others.

The sdk update for compatibilty for EP2, tf2 and portal is out. The content for mod teams is not out yet. (code and updates to sdk base)

And about the media releases we have released about everything we have done art side. Unless you guys want pics of random props and some boring code lectures we really don't have much to release. We did weekly releases from July 20th - October 6th. Most mods do a media release every month or 2, so give us a break please?

klobb + paintball mode = win

uhhh the klobb looks pretty good but on the back handgrip it looks like the wood sticks out past the gun? dunno if thats on purpose or not, and the wire frame that goes over the barrel would look pretty good if it didnt go down as low maybe.

DD44 looks fine to me :D good job
