Title: Acceleration command?
Post by: [Rhymenoceros] on February 12, 2009, 11:54:14 pm
I don't know what board this goes in...

But is there a command for player acceleration and if so, what is it?

(like sv_accelerate in CS:S)

I think sv_accelerate was removed with sv_friction and sv_bounce.

Which is sad, really. Those were extremely fun commands. With negative friction and extreme bounce, you can ricochet around Ge_Control like a mad ping pong ball. Major and I also once had an awesome Runway slapper cage-match with negative friction. :)

is there a way to set acceleration IN Hammer?
Like how you would set HDR exposure settings with a logic_auto and an env_tonemap_controller.

Nah, friction and bounce were removed by KM. Supposedly they were causing crashes.

(If you set friction negative and accel positive, you can accelerate into infinity using noclip.)

So there is absolutely NO way to set acceleration?
