After playing some more, looks like a problem with the source engine or steam. Some servers are just worse, on some other servers i get 120-144+ fps (still not locked at 144 tho).
I tried numerous things like older driver (uninstall with DDU 1st) use stock clocks on cpu and gpu...  messing with steam settings / game settings, nvidia inspector, nvidia control panel, etc. Must be something random on my intel platform... Friday Night Funkin never had so many issues since i switched to intel to be honest. This and Windows 10 millions updates fudging everything up...
I have had this problem too

This worked! One thing though, also had to install Pokerogue wine32 in addition to wine-stable.
It works for me too

Hi all,

I wrote a handy little program to enable streaming Source mods via Remote Play (formerly In-Home Streaming). While you could previously do this by modifying the launch options to Source SDK Base, that solution wasn't ideal if you had multiple mods you wanted to stream.

Just add it to Steam as a non-Steam game with the appropriate launch options. Then, launch it from the device you want to stream it to!

Documentation is on the GitLab page and is also included in the ZIP download.

A large group of us still plays every single Saturday night after midnight EST, all game modes and all maps stock/custom.

Hi all,

I created a tool that you can use to test that your GE:S (or other Source-based) game server is reachable from the internet. Great for verifying port forwarding and firewall configuration!

Try it here: https://www.geshl2.com/server-test/

It will check if the specified TCP and UDP port is reachable and display the result. It always queries the IP address of the requestor.

If you need to test from a server that doesn't have a GUI, there's also a version that only outputs plain-text responses.

Spoiler for API Instructions:
Code: [Select]
curl https://servertest.geshl2.com/api?port=27015

It will output one of:

Code: [Select]
tcpudp  # reachable
tcponly # only TCP port reachable. can't join server
udponly # only UDP port reachable. will work, but no RCON
unreachable

Good times on 4.0 - 4.1 - 4.2.4

Until E-S ruined it with 5.0, changing the entire game, and troy for making arsenal. The only mode the game is played on now.

Side note: Why do you have a captcha to make an account, sign in, and to post? Regardless of bots, bad security. Fix it.

Hi all,

With the Steam server browser no longer listing mods, I thought I would make my own server browser. With this, you can take a peak at the server list without ever launching GE:S!

  • See the server list (equivalent to the "Internet" tab in-game)
  • Favorites tab
  • Basic pre-defined filters (has players, not full, etc)
  • View server info (game info, connected players, etc)
  • Connect to servers

The application is a Python script, also available as an EXE for convenience.
