These gameplay elements are just examples and not definite.

Starting work on a new area, the area where you first meet a zombie on the original (cutscene with it eating one of the Stars members), just behind the downstairs dining room. I have been experimenting today with "add" feature to try and create a realistic looking lamp and bulb, therefor any textures used in these screens are just temporary until I have finished on correct scale. I will be placing these bulbs all over the mansion, and adding these new lamp shades.

OK... I will be giving the lighting of the mansion a complete change, with the creation of my proper bulb and lamp shades I have opened up better possibilities for lighting the mansion, it will take some time but as you will see in the below screenshots it will be worth it.

I wonder if it's possible to modify doom 3 code wise too.

One of the best things about this engine is how easy it is to customize and mod it to suit your needs, with the know how you can completely transform this engine to do amazing things. Example:-

I've just completed the Dining Room lighting, I have decided not to change all of the lights as I quite like the Doom 3 light model I have been using, but some areas will get changed just to add some variety. Anyway... Let me know what you think.

The new area i'm currently working on, changed a lot since the above shots but I want to keep the colors as close as possible to the original.

New areas coming along great, I need to make the corridor more narrow, that will be my next job. Very pleased with the wall lights as they look almost identical to the originals.

I nearly forgot you were working on this until a few days ago when this thread popped up. I recall seeing something like this over the summer (you might have been just starting on it then I think). Nice to see you're still plugging away with it man, the new screens are looking great. Keep up the good work as always!

Over the last few months I have found a little time to work on the Mansion some more. There has been some major rescaling of the Dining Room and Back Area above the Safe Room, also various details added and a new area which connects the downstairs back area near the shotgun room to the corridor next to the Dining Room. As of now all gameplay elements are removed while I focus one hundred percent on building the Mansion, which has always been my main priority, as I stated, this project will always continue and one day i'll reach my goal, and when I do, it's my intention to give this map to the public to do what they want with it. Here's the latest screenshots, and a video is on the way shortly:-

That's actually really rad, I loved the original Resident Evil. Got a ton of nostalgia from the last video. I love the door transitions, feels a lot more like Resident Evil Outbreak's transitions specifically. Maybe slow the heartbeat down a bit.

Cheers Bud... The fast heartbeat relates to the fear of not knowing whats in the next room. All screenshots can be seen here:-

New area so far, keep finding things to tweak and change, probably not the final version, but i'm very happy with the way it's coming on now. Decided I might as well do the Safe Room before continuing the ares leading back to the Main Hall :)

I hated that safe room, there were always a lot of zombies around there that I usually just ran past.
