Title: Jeron's Blog New Years Eve
Post by: Jeron [SharpSh00tah] on December 31, 2011, 06:41:46 am
I dont really know where to start, so I will just give the story.

I have been friends with a kid name Sean Daly for 12 years now. Since '99 we where inseparable. We went to the same schools, and where considered family. He was a brother to me, closer to him than my own father. Each year his family would invite me over for Xmas, Bday, New years, thanks giving, etc. They did this because they know that my family is non-existant, and that my mother had passed away. Mrs Daly (seans mom) I looked at like my own mother. His father, I looked at as my other dad. I would always ask for advice, and was extremely appreciative that they took me in as another son. Literally. When my mother passed away, she had left me and my brother Derek, her Condo.

My brother had since, gotten married, and had a child, Jaxon Bornstein. My nephew. He then moved out of the Condo, and bought his own place. Since I pay a mortgage on the Condo my mother had left me, I asked Sean if he wanted to move in. Without hesitation, he agreed. We both knew each other too well. We had a trust that couldnt be broken. We knew we would make everything work out perfectly.

Well, we had used Seans bank account to pay the bills. I opened up my Mortgage, Comcast Cable, FPL(Power) and Home Owners Association  statements, that came in the mail, and they all had a balance of the last three months (unpaid). I went to Sean, and was like hey, where did my $1200 (my half) go!? He said that he didnt know what I was talking about, and hung up the phone, saying he was too busy at work to talk about this. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and let it go until he got home later that day. Turns out, that He bought new rims for his Mustang, new tires, new steering assembly, and his dad an IPad for Xmas. Knowing that we where 3 months back on everything, I said how could you spend all MY money on materialistic things like those, as opposed to paying these bills! He said "Fuck you man, there is nothing your going to say or do to make me give you that money back, it was mine". I was in shock. I had all the reciepts in hand, showing exactly how much was mine. $1,240, to be exact. That was my half for the past three months. After he said that, he got up, walked towards the door, and slammed it shut, while he muttered something under his breath. I hadnt seen him the rest of that night. While I was at work, I had texted him asking whats going on, why are you giving me such an attitude, if you spent the money, just tell me, we (meaning you) can regain the money and catch up on the bills. I left work and went home. When I opened the door, everything was gone. The TV, My computer monitor, all the movies, he took everything, down to windex, and paper towels. So my best friend, and brother for 12 years, just robbed me for over $2000, and took my monitor and many other things. He even took my Xmas gift my brother (who is 24, and has a kid, mind you) got me. It was a $25 dollar gift certificate to the movies. It was all he could afford.

Sean was really the only "true" friend I had. Its unbelievable how money can change people. My dad asked why did he just take his shit, and split. I told him its because he spent all of my money, and his half, on himself; greedy bastard.

He literally took every dollar I had. I had to pawn my Iphone, to get fucking food for the past three days. So I am just hurt, more than pissed, about this whole scenario. He really fucked me bad. I am recieving letters about foreclosure, my power should be shut off in the next month. I had to drop out of school to grab a full time job, digging ditches, literally. What sucks the most is there is not a damn thing I can do about it. The money was in his bank account, and there is no way possible, to prove that any of those things taken, where mine. So I am typing this more to vent than anything. I dont have any family down in Florida. Everyone is North of me, in Boston Mass, and my only friend just robbed me for every penny I had. Thank god I had an Iphone worth 50 bucks at the local pawn shop to keep me fed for the past three days. However, that money is gone, and my father is in the hospital. So, I have some things on craigs list, and I am on the verge of drug dealing again. I cannot understand how my "brother" would leave me hanging like this. He knows this house is the only thing I have from my mother.

Just when I finally had settled down, had loads of money, my bills paid (so I thought) and had life by the balls. I lost it all, and not from my own doing, not a damn thing I can do. Even when I was down and depressed, I always looked at the brighter side of things and said that Hey, your still in school. Keep your head up. But that was taken too.

Its true. Very true. Unfortunate. Very Unfortunate. But I am not asking for help. I am just asking for someone to read it. I just needed to vent and tell someone. I don't have anyone else to tell.

Yea talk about a fresh start. January 1st (tomorrow) Cannot come fast enough.

@SSL, I know man, that is exactly how I feel. I had finally caught up, and was doing so well. Had 3 jobs, and multiple side jobs too. This kid took every dime I had made in the past 3 months. So I have worked for free. Im really just hurt more than angry

It feels like life has been rather rough on me. But I will never play victim. I, once again, just pick up the shattered pieces, and move on. Today starts a new year. 1st things 1st, I need to catch up on my bills. Then I need to buy a new monitor. This IBM monitor has a resolution of 640x480, so hammer wont even load.

Sean really screwed me over, but I will figure out a way out. I always have made a comeback even when times are hard. Ill let you know as I regain my finances, when it is time to buy a monitor. Until then, Ill still be online, and around

That is suffice for hammer, really...

Let me know how much it may cost, ill scrap together some cash

It amazes me how my only family, is online and have yet to meet. You guys have no Idea how much you all mean to me

Dude you need to call the police and file a report NOW. It doesn't matter if you can't prove it, that's the police's job. The longer you wait the harder it will be to prove stuff.

What he did is criminal, DO NOT HESITATE, call the police.

Also, if you have pics of the monitor get them ready (hopefully dated), or if you can describe to the gnats ass detail the stuff he took from you it will make your story much more credible (since it IS your stuff).

As far as the bank account goes, did your pay get deposited into his account? If so there is a paper trail there from your employer to his account, clearly he did not earn that money (although legally it's his money if it's in his account unless your name is on the account). If you transferred it to his account manually, did you leave a note as to what the money was for like "rent + bills"?

Yeah man, this is a case for the cops. Normally I'd NEVER suggest involving police, but they're really the only ones that can help in this case.

What KM said.
I'm blown away by how someone with that kind of history with you would think of doing damage of any kind, let alone to that degree.
Do something, and you might recover even faster.

Also agreed with KM et al.

What he has taken from you so too will life take from him.  In the same vein, that which has been taken from you will be given back to you someday - it may not be in the way your expect or at the time you expect, but life has a way of keeping things even.

I don't post much except to make comments about people's musical endeavors here on the site, but I do read most of the posts, and I mention that because you should know how impressive it is to be you.

You've had posts about your hard times and sometimes with or without direct support from people, you were able to overcome and succeed man.  There is no doubt in my mind that you will overcome this too.

You are a solid guy that has been given many hard decisions, hard moments, and hard feelings.

Part of me wants to launch into an inspiring speech about victory and spilling the blood of your enemies, but I know that's just because I've been reading WAY too much medieval literature lately, haha.

Even though you're just venting, I think it goes without saying that the people here will help you in any way we can, even if it's just listening.

People change but what your friend did to you is simply unforgivable in my book. I really hope you get the police involved and catch that piece of scum for betraying your trust.

I really feel sorry for you Jeron even though I don't know you personally. I hope you get your life back on track again and may 2012 be filled with success for you.

It's hard to come up with something to say about your "friend's" actions. It's completely unforgivable and a huge lack of respect for you. Well, it's a damn crime, that's what it is.

I wish you all the best, mate. I hope you can sort this out so you can get back to kicking ass building those maps. I'm sure you will sort it out.

Thank guys for the responses, they all mean a lot. As time passes though, I am going to call the school district, which controls the direct deposit of my pay. Ill dispute the charges, and that should place a hold on the last check, and my newest check (depositing friday). That hopefully will get me something back.

I am just happy that I have people to speak to here. KM, I really dont see the point of calling the police. I literally cannot prove a damn thing. However, depending on what happens after I call the school district, I will then call the police. That will only happen if they do not place a hold on the funds. Unfortunately I'm only talking chump-change, in the scheme of things. Maybe, $200 bucks. But, hey, its something!

I totalled up every bill, and it is $2,895.50 ; That is 3 months of bills. My half included. But its alright, I will get things resolved in due time. I got a full-time job, with my brother now, landscaping. Its pretty cool, we work one-on-one, with each other. Sometimes we have a full crew.

Btw, I honestly respect the fact that you all are here listening to me. It means a lot. But, with that said, please don't feel bad for me lol. Shit happens, and life isn't always fair. But the way I look at things, is this is payback for all the bad that I have done? I have done my FAIR share, of bad. I am a firm believer in karma. Sean, definitely has his commin'. I will eventually look back at this and laugh, because it was 12 years waisted, over 3 grand. Its really sad, imo. Not for the fact that he dogged me like this, but, what was a pointless friendship.

Ill tell you what, this is yet another, extremely humbling experience.
