i want to ask you, if it's necessary to download the half life 2 game from steam to play del GE mod online, or can i download the game from another source? if it's so can i play the mod finely? please answer me  ??? ??? ???

and also, wich episode of half life 2 it's needed to play the Golden Eye mod??

You need any Source engine based game that gives you access to Source SDK Base 2007

This is what you need to install to play GES. It is under the tools tab in Steam and you have to have/run steam in order to play it.

Although it is slightly outdated, it should be relatively easy to follow. Source sdk base 2007 is the same as "orange box" on the walkthrough guide.
