Title: THIS = AWESOME!!!! (junkie needs help)
Post by: Meetloaf13 on April 09, 2009, 02:59:52 pm
So, I happened upon this BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL mod...it combines my two favorite games of ALL time.

Is there ANY way I can play this single-player/offline...right now I have perhaps the crappiest ISP in the world and can only ping ONE Half-Life server with a respectable connection...sometimes.

Any way to create bots or anything?

Tx in advance, and thanks for a SWEET MOD.

Although there is talk of a single player mode, it has not been implemented yet.  Same goes for bots.  Sorry to hear about your shitty ISP :(

Yeah man, hopefully it's just temporary.  Back at school I was sportin' a sweet FiOs connection.  I could pull almost 2MB/sec on some download servers and pings were as sweet as can be.

Oh well [le sigh].  In a couple weeks I may be back in business.

Thanks for the quick reply, I will be supremely jealous for the next 3 weeks.

Why don't folks understand?

If the Devs ever implemented a single-player mode... they are 99.9% most likely going to be sued.

Why can't you be happy with what they've made for us?

If you lurrrrrrrrrrve GoldenEye, dust off that 64 and plug and play! It's what I did last summer a few times!

In my opinion (NOT OFFICIAL). If we go down the single player route we will make it flow a lot better then the N64 version did. We would, maybe, include interim sequences that were left to assumption in the 64 and also flesh out interactions and objectives to meet more modern standards.

With that being said, either way we do it we would most definitely put the utmost care and attention to every detail and it will take a significant amount of time (more than 1 year). At this point, I am not sure we have the patience to undertake this effort.

We shall see :)
