I'm sure most of you have also played Perfect Dark: Source. Well, it looks like it will be getting a update very soon. First of all, the site has been down for about two weeks with the message of "We are back soon!"

The server isn't up anymore, and I can't provide any proof that it was, but there was a password protected server up called "Perfect Dark: Source B1 2000 server".
Also, there were Temple images posted on its forums a few months ago.

Now if I didn't know any better, I'd say we'll be getting Beta 1 2000 very soon (current version is 1730).
This mod has alot of potential, it's just that it's dead. Hopefully this update brings in a lot of activity.

Was talking to the devs of pdark and they said they had server hosting problems and will be fixed soon. Good to see a new release as well.

I was wondering what happened to them. I've been trying to get in everyday. It's buggy, but Perfect Dark is by far one of my favorite games, and the levels look beautiful.
Last I heard, they were talking about some secret project and starting on a single player mode. So I hope everything's alright with them.

I keep trying to play a game, but I haven't seen anyone online for at least eight months. And the Chicago map is never up. I loved that one...

pdark is not dead, just a bit inactive. Gectou4 (they guy who did the french credits for us) is still working on pdark but he is having some time issues atm (with strikes in france and so on). Expect something good from them, just not any time soon.

i love how he takes fighting for working conditions so seriously that he stops working on his mod too lol jk.

yea, i was told pretty much the same when i PM'd with a dev of them.
Hopefully our Beta 3 release will encourage them to go on with PDS too.

Beta 3 and a possible PD:S update is just too much awesomeness at once. =P
Now the question is is if PD:S can maintain a decent level of activity...

In addition to GoldenEye Source, I just felt like looking up something on Google for Perfect Dark Source. I remember those days on the N64 also since I've played the heck outta Perfect Dark like no tomorrow especially on multi-player where u played with friends or bots.
But I want to inquire about this though but I hope I'm not advertising since I just want to inquire. But it looks like Perfect Dark Source really sucks from what I heard from people who've tested it and didn't get that far, but not only that but you can't even jump.
I just want to know if the game is still was in development but the game developers just stopped the project or what?

It crashed too much and the aiming was pretty bad but the maps and modles looked great I thought.

I download Perfect Dark Source today, i have my time to play mutilplayer, but... only got 1 server. And peoples cant join this server. like wtf... perfect dark source was dead?

Goldeneye had the better maps, but PD was far superior and more polished.
I had better 1v1 on GE then PD due to the map layouts once came back from 1-9 to win 10-9 LOL my mate was well pissed off wass a top match it lasted about 30 or so minutes.

He certainly did not read the sentence. I haven't played PDS yet, but since it is in development again I might give it a shot when a new version comes out, although PD was not one of my favorite N64 games, ranking behind the almighty GE007 and Mario Kart.

PD might have been the technical more advanced game and it was a great one, but nothing can beat Goldeneye.
Especally in Multiplayer, we played the maps from GE64 far more then any of the PD maps, simply becourse they were better.

Goldeneye was far superior imo... thus why it sucked away at least 3 years of my life. PD was good and all but it just wasnt as epic... that being said im waiting to see whats going on with PDS, i played an earlier version and it was quite fun (although extremely unpolished) ...well just wait and see
All i know is itll take alot for it to get to my favourite source mods list and sit alongside GES, HDN, PVK and FOF :P

Looks cool, and they say a new release is on the way, but from the way they worded it, it looks like there might not be any major new content, and more of a bug fix. I hope this is not the case though.

Yay! Hope they come out with some cool gameplay with the Perfect Dark Source MOD! I miss Playing Perfect Dark on the N64!
GoldenEye and Perfect Dark Source were pretty much the 2 only games I play on the N64. xD

they should make a goldeneye/perfect dark crossover that would really be cool. i was a fan of both back in the day and still am..i'm pissed goldeneye couldn't be on xbl and the wii one looks like they changed it too much. at least i can play perfect dark and perfect dark zero on xbox
