Title: Wiki Updates.

This topic is going to be used to show when an interesting update is done to the wiki. It can also be used to point out flaws on the protected articles, since we are not perfect either. I don't mind small decussion, but if stuff gets too off topic, I might split it into its own topic.

February 26, 2009

First off, the new achievements that in Beta 3.1 have been added (http://wiki.goldeneyesource.net/index.php/Beta_3_Achievements), so if people are interested, they can go look at the icons, and see what they will be shooting for.

Secondly, the Cr_Casino article has been moved and renamed to Ge_Casino (http://wiki.goldeneyesource.net/index.php/Ge_Casino). In the map table, it has been placed before Ge_Statue, due to it's location in the GoldenEye movie. The article will be going through some changes currently, and it won't be "proper" till we hear more about the map.

Thirdly, the award page (http://wiki.goldeneyesource.net/index.php/GoldenEye:_Source_Awards) has been setup, but will not be compleate till Killer Monkey supplies me with a detailed description of how each is calculated. Since Killer Monkey is out currently, it might take a few days to be finished.

The kill counts for SA and 00A achievements need to changed and a note about how LTK affects the kill count should be included, unless you were waiting for 3.1 to actually be released to do that.

I LOVE that "Who Throws a Shoe" achievement icon. That has to be the single greatest thing I've seen in a game.

The new achievements will be released with 3.1 i believe.

I laughed at a lot of these new achievements. ESPECIALLY the shoe. Also, it's spelled "pulverizer." Not pulvarizer. :x

Thanks to Killer Monkey, I have updated the Award article (http://wiki.goldeneyesource.net/index.php/GoldenEye:_Source_Awards) on the wiki. Now people can finally understand why they get Most Honorable & Dishonorable in the same round.

Ummm...I don't remember a casino in goldeneye buddy...did you mean to say casino royale? If that is the case, I don't the GE_Casino should be by statue since they aren't part of the same movie....unless I am mistaken..

In Goldeneye, Bond went to a casino, and there he met and fought Xenia. After a sexy fight scene in the sauna, James forced Xenia to take him to Janus, which was at the area known as Statue.

I remember he was swimming in a pool of some sort in an elaborately designed building when they had their little spat, but I'm not sure if that was a casino.

I know that there was a casino for sure after the car race before the Tiger was stolen. Regardless, there is a casino in the movie.

It appears I was wrong about the Casino's location in the story. It actually appears right before Frigate. What I was thinking about was just the sauna part. I plan to move the article to it's rightful location.

I think in Goldeneye 007, silo was supposed to be casino.

Wut? No silo is just a made up place to fill up the gaps in the game.... like bunker, surface, caverns etc (bunker and surface existed but bond was never there and none of the stuff he did in the game ever happened :P)

Not really an update, but I noticed alot of pages have the category link at the top of the article. When this is done, you add an extra few lines at the top of the article. What I would like done if it could be placed at the bottom when making a new page?

Here is an example of what I mean:

Don't understand a flying fuck of what you wrote there Jc, but I like those sayings about the Klobb. But judging from KM's post, I'd say Mark has something to do with this...

Sorry for the bump but I was wondering if we could get more screen shots for upcoming material on the wiki (especially maps) I do know there are a few on there already but I'm sure there's more to be seen. =P

You mean like get the mappers to post more screens? I can't force them to release more material. I also should make some articles on the newer third party maps though.
