A few improvements over the run you posted: He got a really good boost at about the :32 second mark; makes a world of difference, probably picked up close to half a second right there considering the reduced lag. Normally getting shot forward is 1/3 of a second on console. Tough to get boosts like that on Agent, very RNG, but the more the better. Also was on a perfect line, and hit the lock shot without really losing strafe boost; I think you ran straight at it so you might have changed strafes and lost some speed. He also did a look up most of the time; on N64 that saves frames due to less loading, not sure how that impacts on an emulator though.

If you can't tell I'm an Eliter lol...

Hey man, I understand. The guy is amazing though!

Very nice! Video looks really sharp, too.

Everyone reading this that isn't familiar with The-Elite should bear in mind, though, that WR times on an emulator are much less difficult to get than on the console due to lag and other issues, which is why Eliters don't count emulators; there are many emulator/TAS times that blow away even the most refined console WR's because you can react and do things on a PC that just don't work with the N64's original hardware.

That said - you could even go for a 52 (or similar cool time that's impossible/almost impossible on console) if you keep at it; as I'm sure you found out while just trying to get :53, it still takes a lot of practice and repetition regardless, even emulated!

This guy blows anyone I've seen out of the water:

Dr. Doak himself shares a deeper look into GoldenEye's development with new stories and information that has never been heard before, very interesting discussion!

I enjoyed doing this kind of thing on the ✔ Agent level was very good..
in the "facility" in ✔ 00 Agent was sacred to do this speedrun because of the recompence in the cheat menu   :)

**Admin please move this if it's in the wrong area**

These tools perform the simple purpose of a quick process killer and starter for gesource. If you install gesource or move it to a different location you can use the .BAT files and add the new location by dropping it into NOTEPAD and saving it. I grew weary of hl2.exe sticking all the time and having to CTRL ALT DELETE stop it in task manager constantly to start the mod. There have also been problems launching the mod from Steam so this tool utilizes the gesource_run.exe DIRECT EXECUTABLE CREATED BY GESOURCE TEAM. Great thinking guys! :D

++TOOL FUNCTIONS++

GESOURCE STOP: Stops hl2.exe in hopes the mod will boot from Steam or wherever current user is trying to launch the mod from

GESOURCE RESET: Stops hl2.exe and restarts gesource when nothing else is working (**NOTE** FULL PROOF)

**FINAL NOTE** Steam and Source SDK 2007 are still required for the mod to work. These tools are not workarounds for Steam, Valve, Half Life 2, or any other entities.
Special thanks to GESOURCE DEV TEAM for creating an executable to launch the mod!

Hope these tools are found useful!  ;)

Just wanted to take a moment to commend you guys for a phenomenal upgrade on the mod. I was exploring the maps on a private land server and I was noticing the models, lighting, and brushwork are STUNNING. An absolute marvel and something to be very proud of. I wish you guys all the best and THANK YOU for continuing to do this. I work on things when I have time but you guys are true ARTISTS.  MultiplayerX

Do not necropost. The last reply is over a year old and so the question likely is no longer relevant.

Closing.
