the Goldeneye mod keeps crashing in start
« on: April 21, 2010, 04:46:34 am »

When ever I launch the mod it keeps saying
hl2.exe has stopped working

I tried restarting steam.

I've installed both source sdk and orange box source sdk.
I've installed half life 2.

and I still get the error, anyone have a clue to why this is happening?

Ctrl+Alt+destroy hl2.exe from the task manager and try again.

I got it to work by reinstalling.  Thanks for the help.  :)

If it ever happens again, most likely it is caused by valves crappy intro video methods. Go to Goldeneye's Properties--> Launch Options and add -novid in the line. That will for sure stop the video from freezing in the future, if that was the cause of the problem. :)
