I mean this is completely plausible, but then again, it could have been some jack ass tripped over the power cord to the logon and authentication server at Valve Headquarters...
Updated and restarted servers, so now on the client side it says they're LAN servers; on the server-side status reports they're insecure. Progress?

I guess Valve figured since the analog TV shutdown was postponed, they had to do something to fill the void. ;D
I'm confused. Is all this why I'm only able to see 3 servers (EURO servers, even... ugh)?
I'm starting to get GE:S withdrawals. :'(

Unable to load Steam support library.
This server will operate in LAN mode only.
Server won't connect to VAC, and rejects clients (pretending to be a LAN server).Yeah, this is what I have. I blame donuts.
I can't even launch GE:S anymore, is anyone else having this problem? I could play a few days ago, even after the Valve update, but now I can't get anything.No. The Valve update only affects dedicated servers, not the client software. If you can't launch the game, that sounds like a local problem. Could be any number of things, but the update isn't one of them.
I started up an un-updated server (up-to-date 7 February) and it runs fine, the only problem is you still can't connect to it due to the Steam key size error.
Could be that all the servers going on out there are listen servers?
Valve is working on a fix, no one can play any mods atm, even the official ones.(http://www.forumammo.com/cpg/albums/userpics/10062/riker-facepalm.jpg)
Mookie you need to update your serverYeah I've got them up-to-date. Someone had posted before that servers that hadn't been updated would work but no dice. All good now though with what steven posted.
The OFFICIAL servers are back up with the fix
enjoy!
