Sorry this map couldn't make it into the beta3 release. The map is being completely re-worked and it will be much different than you remember for older releases. I'm positive you guys will appreciate the new coat of paint and the layout additions that help the flow of the map. It has been rebuilt from scratch without using the map source from the level designer that is no longer with us.

That was a great map but it had some big flaws. Such as how annoying it was to exit the glass lab rooms in LTK because everyone is going to try and shoot their bullet in the second you open the door. Camping on the light fixture hanging on the celing near the labs hallway and being killed by the explosive barrels in the bottling room were also annoying. Will any of these be touched upon?

Also, what happened to Facility Classic?

I trust you will do a great work with the map. It was one of my favorites. And I can wait for it. Don't rush it. Speed is the enemy of perfection, was we say here in Portugal.

BTW, who was the original author of this map? Nickster (nice touch on the memorial you placed in Egyptian; kudos to whoever had the idea)?

Please keep the music from the Beta 2 Backzone! I guess it would be ok to remix it some, but that track was one of my favorites. I would vote for backzone just to hear it.

Hey Mike, I`ve played some backzone yesterday and you completely blew me off the edge: This stuff feels so great, really like in the movie.

one thing kept nagging me though:

Next to the tanks and one escalator, the one where the guards come down and get shot by 006, there should be some "things" laying on the floor, here`s the pic from the movie.
It`s the stuff where 006 takes cover while firing at them guards.

Meh, a little cover would be nice. Then it's not one big open space.

'Course, I don't know if the current map is to scale or not. If so, I'd use the... whatever those pipe things are.

I was thinking about adding those things. However, I can't really get any real good reference shots of them, so I would have to "guesstimate" on a bunch of things on how they work, or just throw something together without worrying about it (most likely scenario: the later). Glad you like what you are seeing, I've recently started doing some more work on the map after my 2 month hiatus, so I can't wait to get a new build to you guys with the updated stuff.

I don't think they would clog up the area too bad, but I will have to do some tests before I attempt making a prop of it to be sure. I think the map is very slightly larger than the movie set, and slightly smaller than the n64 version. It's a nice in-between I believe.

I would actually like to see those objects there in the map, even if it means guessing what they look like exactly. They dont need to be perfect, just close enough.

Don't worry goldenzen, I already have a bunch of shots of it. I just need a free day to work on it. My free day was yesterday, but I started my house searching then went to the lake to go skiing/tubing. I'm going back to bed when I get home from work today.
