Im not paying $29 for borderlands just for that demo.. rather just wait till someone leaks or its downloadable on their website.

Saw this coming for a while. After not producing any greatly succesfull titles in the recent past, and the state of the economy, this was bound to happen sooner or later. Theres just no funding for alot of developers, so unless you are a big company alot of companies are shutting their doors.

It was looking good so far. Shame they never got to finish it. Never played the first one, but heard it was a great game.

Seems to me that everything is VERY scripted, much like COD 1,2, and 3.

That makes me angry and also means AI is stupid.

It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum and I'm aaaaaaallll out of funding...

Facts:
Was almost finnished
Didn't need an engine change -> code so efficient new shaders took max 1 week to implement
George said: "Cutting is shipping" and posted a last minute bug-list
3D Realms is still working (read pollishing) it with a lot less people
3D Realms has money offshore
3D Realms never lost a lawsuit and had a shitload of lawsuits

Conclusion:
Always bet on Duke :D
