Hello guys,
First i want to thank you all for bringing back those nice memories I had with Goldeneye64.
This mod is one of the best out there in my opinion.. it's done very well.. the maps look AMAZING as for the weapons.. they're incredible.
But one thing got stuck in my mind.. why didn't you guys make a transparent (goldeneye64) crosshair ?? that would be sweeeeet!!!

Because GE64 never had a crosshair. Now if you want one you have to press Shift to aim, which also increases the accuracy of your weapon. If you want a crosshair to badly, get a whiteboard marker and put a dot on your screen :P

Keep playing, it becomes second nature thanks to bullet tracers. Experienced players know where their shots will go without a crosshair.

Ah, you will grow to like it man just keep playing. The no crosshair thing is one thing that sets GE:S apart from most other games. After playing GE:S for the last couple years I've realized that I probably don't need a crosshair in any game anymore. =P

Uh, yes it did. When you held down the "R" trigger button, it had a red crosshair for its "aim" function.

Dude, it's the same way. Except it might've been tougher to use Shift in a fixed position because you could get shot easier. That's why they make you walk and shoot. Just read the above posts.

in the real world, if I pick up a gun and point it at a Monkey, will I see a crosshair? Nope. You have to pretend there is one.
Also crosshair are for pussies and that includes me being one of them :)

Get used to it and become a kick ass 00 Agent (It's not guaranteed that it will work against BigBird though).
-2nd Option-
Use hunting knives, you will never EVER have any problem with aiming anymore.
-3rd Option-
Use some porn photo as your spray and kill without effort the perverts looking at it.
-4th Option-
Don't do anything at all and stay at spawn, some noobs might want to rage-kill you because BigBird is pwning them, plus it could prevent a mass rage-quit event.
Conclusion:
There's always a way to solve problems. Isn't life beautiful?

I remember when Project IGI came out, one of the first versions didn't have HUD on Windows XP. No crosshair, no health... nothing. But, thanks to the good ol' GoldenEye64, I cleared IGI without crosshair. If I had to snipe, first I turned on the binoculars, they had a big center cross all over the screen.
GoldenEye with (constant) crosshair wouldn't be GoldenEye!

Another bump, but with some different advice: learn to line up the gun itself with the target. The gun more or less points in the right direction, so that the angle from the barrel to the target is about the same as that of the gun itself.
Alternatively, spray and pray.
