This is the first playable version of my map ge_stonewall.
It's very simple edit from an old cstrike map I tweaked, as i inteded to have good FPS and a N64 feeling.

Things to consider:

-Intended for deathmatch or arsenal gameplay
( Added over 32 regular deathmatch spawn points)

-I have not tested, or intend to test for teamplay on this map.
( Although there are over 32 spawns for both red and blue player spawns )

-Bots are not yet implemented
( there are info_nodes and they can be added. but the bots are still broken and console has errors )

A few questions I have:

- Can i force deathmatch or arsenal gameplay?

- How can i force spawn armor?

- How do i add an thumbnail for when you viewing maps ingame through "find servers"

More or less the same recomendations as for your other map.
Texture resolution, better lighting, more detail.

Allthough i'm not sure if you can do much more about optimisation without alternations to the map layout.

As fror your questions:

1. no you cannot force a certain gameplay only for certain maps.
ofc. you can force your server to run only certain gamemodes, but that will apply to all maps.
Also other server owners that run the map have other server setups.
So it's the job of the mapper to make maps compatible with gamemodes.

2. have you tried adding an item_armorvest entity?

3. the menue thumbs are located in ...gesource/materials/VGUI/maps/
but if ppl don't have the map and download it from the server, they won't have the thumbnail anyway even if it's downloaded as well via .res file.
Who uses the map list anyway? It doesn't show all servers.
I'd rather invest the time creating a loading screen since more ppl will see this (allthough the same applies here, no screen on downloading the map, only if it's played again after downloading).

ahh i did not look in the item_ category.  was only looking in the ge_ entity's. thankyou.

I may implement a little more into this map, as it was kind of a warm up for me. 5.0 has sparked my creative side and I always like mapping for deathmatch oriented gameplay.

now that im looking at everything, the lighting is super bland and It could use some serious tune-ups.
