[RESOLVED] srcds.exe - Entry Point Not Found
Wishful Thinking!:
So after more days of trial and error - mostly error I might add, I cannot get my main server to work, I'm starting to think that something somewhere at sometime has removed a key component for anything Source Engine to run, possibly system clean up tools (ie, Reg Cleaners).
I'm wondering if upgrading Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 will repair this, limited & expensive disk space is why I haven't jumped at the chance.
soupcan:
I wouldn't count on it. For one, upgrades in general can be problematic and it's always best to use a fresh install. Having a corrupted or misconfigured OS before upgrading could also have some pretty catastrophic results.
Your best bet is to try again after an actually clean install of Windows.
Wishful Thinking!:
Hi there,
With that in mind I preformed a Restore/Refresh of Windows, went through the process of reinstalling applications again and... It works!
So after all this time, a Refresh of Windows is all that was required.
Thanks for the ongoing support and ofcorse the suggestions :D

Glad it worked out for you. Software works in mysterious ways sometimes.
