Tweaklab:
Hey everyone!

Here's an update to my Control remix, it's now up to 6+ minutes and has a few different BPMs to keep things interesting.

It's starting to feel just about right now, I'm trying not to add too many sounds to keep it from getting overwhelming level wise.

var zippywww="19";var zippyfile="nGHU9TMt";var zippydown="ffffff";var zippyfront="000000";var zippyback="ffffff";var zippylight="000000";var zippywidth=20;var zippyauto=false;var zippyvol=80;var zippydwnbtn = 1;

Personally I really like the DNB climax ;)

Gotta say, I'm /really/ not a fan of those detuned stabs in your Control remix. Overall the instruments feel way too 90s-MIDI to me, largely because it seems like you keep them completely dry (i.e. no effects).

That kind of sound works well for the percussion though IMO.

Hey thanks for the feedback,

I'll see what I can do to widen up the overall sound, I have to admit I've produced it from a hip hop approach similar to 90s big beat / the original N64 game rather than trying to make it sound like an orchestra, just about everything currently has either some slight reverb and/or delays including the drums, percussion and brass/strings.

Given that 99% of what I normally produce is electronic/dance music this is very useful feedback so thanks for taking the time to break it down for me :)

I shall report back when I've made some improvements, cheers!

Back with an update:

var zippywww="44";var zippyfile="EMNcrtaz";var zippydown="ffffff";var zippyfront="000000";var zippyback="ffffff";var zippylight="000000";var zippywidth=20;var zippyauto=false;var zippyvol=80;var zippydwnbtn = 1;

Ditched a few of the initial sounds, it's lost it's 90s feel to a degree and is now predominately strings and brass etc, sounds much more like a traditional Bond score in comparison and I've cut it down (quite roughly) to under 4 minutes, the 145BPM section still needs a bit of work and mastering etc.

Rick Astley:
Good work :)
