A question about GES wiki pages

(1/4) > >>

Kiihhu:
This is a question I was supposed to ask more than a year ago: what happened to the GES wiki a couple of years (can't recall how many) ago when the wiki became a collection of broken links? There are some working links such as "Basic gameplay", "Weapons" and "Awards". If you click the "Weapons" link you get another collection of broken links, none of them working.

I am absolutely positive that there used to be well written weapon data available (damage, accuracy, description) for every weapon in the game a few years back. This hasn't been the case for a long, long time. I wonder why, since the weapon damages haven't changed since that time and all the weapons function as they did before. So the reason obviously isn't outdated information.

I believe I know all the weapon data by heart, but sometimes I'd like to paste a link to the wiki for a new GES player, but then the issue becomes that the data is no longer available. I also remember there being a cool looking list of official maps, looking similar to the mission selection screen in the original GoldenEye007. But not anymore.

It's not like it would require any work like doing the weapon descriptions since the descriptions have already been done. Why aren't they there for every new player to read and learn from?

Proxie:
Anyone can push changes to the wiki, you just need to make an account.  Some of the pages can be restored by clicking the old revisions (clock) link on the right-hand side of the page, which is what I've done with the pages you mentioned.

It's quite sad you people rely on the community to update the wiki...last time i check it wasn't our problem...

kraid:
au contraire, that's exactly the spirit of a wiki.
Wikipedia also depends on content published by the users.

You are sad, last time I checked you haven't done anything... except complain.
