The batch file code is as follows:
--- Code: ---
cd C:\Server\OrangeBox\orangebox
srcds.exe -console -game gesource -port 50450 +map ge_runway +maxplayers 18
--- End code ---
--- End quote ---
Yes, I'm talking about how you got the Oranebox server. Also you'll want to specify the path (either full or relative) to the game Dir rather than just specifying it without the path, especially if to had Steam installed in the machine at some point, because it searches Steam's Source mod path for game dirs as well.
And since you say it only happened after 4.2.4, it may help if you download the full 4.2.4 server package and back up any customizations and restore the vanilla server. Also validate your orangebox server install.

Alright, well I did some research and found in the GES Wiki: http://wiki.geshl2.com/goldeneye/server_install#windows_server_installation - which explains how to install GES server with the new 'SteamCMD'.
I've followed step by step, and now time to start the batch, Selecting the drop-downs "Game" and "Map" shows nothing as if it's not detecting the gesource folder...
Continuing anyway... I get this:
EDIT:
I've changed the command-line a bit by adding in the tag -console, the only issue now is it starts the console, once loaded it closes automatically, to solve this I've got the batch file to restart process until it catches a boot that actually starts :P.
--- Code: ---
srcds.exe -console -game ../gesource -port 50450 +maxplayers 16 +map ge_archives
--- End code ---

Your gesource folder is in the same folder as your current directory when the server starts, right? If so, change that to .\gesource. ..\ specifies one level above the current directory.

gesource directory is in SteamCMD, making that "SteamCMD/gesource, start batch file is in SteamCMD/srcds - it starts now, as seen in my signature on these forums, but it does suffer from first boot that automatically closes.
