[BUG] Tabs in option menu become tiny to read.

Kratos:
I installed 4.2, then applied the patch. Went into options, then changed keyboard, sound and video settings. I think its after I changed the resolution to 1920x1080, that happened.

I've never seen that before.  What happens if you close the game and restart it?

That is a bug with Valve's VGUI system, I cannot do anything about it. It fixes itself if you close and reopen the options menu.
