[Windows 8] This file is not regularly downloaded/may not be safe [4.1/4.2.1]

I went to install 4.1 on Win8 and it gave me that message.  When I downloaded the patch to up it to 4.2.1 it gave me the same thing.

I'm not sure if there's a way for the dev team to contact MS about it to get it added to a whitelist if there is one, but I figured I'd at least let them know.

Easy fix, don't use Win 8. ;)

Sorry, but this once more proofs that Win 8 is a restrictive bitch.

It's a warning. A warning means you can proceed if YOU think it is safe.

Signing an application costs upwards of $700 a year, so that is not going to happen.

If you downloaded the game from ModDb, I can assure you there is nothing fishy with the install.

Good overview of all the requirements...

It's a big process, and if you are not selling your software or making ad revenue it is in no way worth the cost. The only thing you are buying is "credibility" but in the end it really means nothing. I can sign a virus if I want, it just makes it easier for MS to "pull the plug" by revoking the certificate I signed my virus with.
