Hey guys & girls, how the hell do I get up to this vent, I have been running around for nearly an hour, I don't seem to be able to jump any higher than a centimeter so there's absolutely no way I can jump on that crate. I have tried laying stuff in front of it as well, but I can't even jump onto the stuff i'm laying down.

Have you tried strafing mid air? I remember back in CS:S it could give you about a 4-unit boost in height, Maybe it works for this game too.

Can't jump high enough. Don't recall having any issues on original Half Life, but then I don't even remember this bit.

Crouch-jump. I didn't have any issues with it.

Omg this game is long... I'm just glad I'm finally outside in the open, than in the vents of the facility. (P.S I've never played Half Life 1, because i never understood it with the graphics. Now with BMS i understand everything! :D)

IMO You should have at least completed HL1 once before trying out BM:S, But too late :P

I couldn't, something about it made me bored and just to turn it down. I have no idea how BMS is keeping me focused.

I am at the part where the soldiers make an appearance... I am not impressed at all.

Spoiler for Hiden:
The soldiers sound terrible (the voice overs) and the MP5 type weapon is horribly inaccurate and not nearly as deadly as the soldiers themselves (I am playing on Hard). Furthermore they like to be able to attack you from so far away with pinpoint accuracy that it is impossible to return fire. The same with the turrets, why bother giving the turrets a laser sight and rotation feature when they can identify your presence even when they aren't looking at you... that is stupid.

The inconsistent application of the "iron sights" view is pitiful.

I mean it looks great, but it plays terribly. They need more balance in the game....

The AI prefers to run from hiding place to hiding place and take pot shots at you from various angles instead of engaging you. This may be "smart" way to vanquish your enemies, but it is not fun.
