"6:07:35 PM] Ronald: ive used someone elses hard drive as a skateboard cause he told the store I smelled
6:08:05 PM Ronald: or we just erase people's hard drives that are assholes
6:08:12 PM sambiddle: wouldn't they complain?
6:08:31 PM Ronald: they signed a form that legally made us not responsible for data
6:08:59 PM sambiddle: what happened when they came in and complained?
6:09:06 PM Ronald: show them what they signed
6:09:29 PM Ronald: we tell them multiple times that this could happen"

Sounds like Apple joined forces with GeekSquad.

Shitty companies. Overpriced products. Shitty products. Shitty customer service.

Well Apple products are for the most part well designed with a user-friendly interface. Particularly iPods. Getting one set up the way you like it requires minimal fucking about.

The fact that the iPod was really the first well established mass storage MP3 player on the market boasting several gigs of space whilst most other MP3 players were lumbering people with 128mb - 512mb space. Even though they were comparable to a brick at this time.

Trends. You have to have one, it doesn't so much matter which. Just like consoles or smart phones or mass storage multimedia players, you have to have one.

Regardless of the ridiculous pricing and the closed platform bullshit and the battery life they are pretty much solid products. They mostly appeal to people who are not tech savvy. Let's face it, if you're tech savvy you know that you're getting ripped off for the price of Apple products.

Let's face it, if you're tech savvy you know that you're getting ripped off for the price of Apple products.

I paid way too much money recently for my MacBook Pro but honestly I love it to pieces. It's fast as hell, super thin, super light, and the battery lasts all day easily without charging. With a few terminal commands and some internal tweaking you can open up OSX to be a very Unix/Linux-like system. I threw out Apple's iTunes/iPhoto/iMovie and their other crap iLife software in favor of some opensource stuff and hooked it up to my multiple Ubuntu-based network drives to keep everything neat and tidy. OSX is very accessible to those who don' know or don't want to know how to use a computer, but you can customize functionality to a fairly detailed level if you're the type to like getting your hands dirty in config files.

Not to mention I dual booted it with Windows 7 for games and a few utilities and that works flawlessly aswell.
