Setting up a LAN game

Hey all,

Needing some help here. I am attempting to setup a game via LAN for me and my buddies but cant seem to get out games to communicate. Can anyone give me a simple walkthrough of what needs to be installed if anything does, and step by step setup? Would really appreciate it!
