great news! the other great news - after 1,5 years I´ve fast internet again, so that I´m able to download and play this baby in the night of release (and don´t have to wait 1 day until the download has finished. not so important for you I guess, but very important for me ;-)

One could always do such things as preload options - either an installer that contacts the website and retrieves whether it's okay to install or not by now or just split it into multiple parts with one last small part being only available on release day. Shouldn't be taking more than 2h with DSL 6k though.
