Possible Game Mode "The Hunted"

Came up with an idea for a game mode, but by all means tell me if you think it's lame.


Basically, one player is "The Hunted" while all the other players are "The Hunters". The object of the game is to gain the highest score for killing "The Hunted" who will obviously be highlighted as such. "The Hunters" are unable to kill each other, but if you should be killed by "The Hunted", you then become "The Hunted" and the player before you then becomes one of "The Hunters". Your score doesn't reset when becoming "The Hunted", but continues on if you should once again become "The Hunter".


Pheew... Just read that back, quite a mouthful, but you get the idea, it's maybe a bit rough around the edges I know, but with some input from the rest of you maybe it could turn into something really cool. What do you think?

It's one of those zombie game modes: infected. I think this idea was mentioned once before.

Unless the Hunted gets a better weapon than the Hunters, it would be very difficult for one person to even get a kill, because the Hunters would swarm.

Good point about having a better weapon, "The Hunted" would be re-spawned whenever they are killed anyway, maybe as a different character I'm thinking (or same character, not sure whats best), the objective for "The Hunted" is to kill a "Hunter" to get back in the game and increase their score in the hope of winning. "The Hunted" could always start with the RCP90 as their weapon, what do you think?

I think it would have to be one of those gamemodes where there would have to be a lot of trial and error to find the weapon conbos that work best.

What I was thinking is that The Hunted would play GunGame forward, then The Hunters would play GunGame in reverse. So that everytime a Hunter gets killed, the Hunters weapons get better and the Hunted weapons get worse, so that the more people you have on your side, the worse your weapons are. You are relying on the power of lots of people with weak weapons.

Of course it wouldn't be GunGame. There would a weapon list specific for this game, because starting with a knife or the Golden Gun might not be so good.
