I felt is was necessary to make this since there is no thread that is all about James Bond. Feel free to discuss anything about James Bond such as movies, bond games, movie soundtracks etc...

I will start us off.

So what do you guys think of this new bond movie "Skyfall?"

I thought you would never ask . There is going to be an huge attack on mi6 headquarters, and the target is M. Something from her past is coming back to haunt her. So Bond has to protect her. The classic DB5 Aston Martin is back. There is going to be some shootouts in Turkey. Also there is a motorcycle chase on Rootops in Turkey.

This better be a good movie, otherwise the Bond franchise is going to completely downhill. It can't take another blow like what happened with the Quantum of Solace.

Storyline is sounding pretty good though.

i really wish...no pray Skyfall will be decent because there hasnt been any "real" James Bond since 2006's casino royale

Qantum of Solace was simply the worst james bond film of all time...(Die Another Day, Never Say Never Agian are masterpieces than that steaming pile of shit)

and all the spin-off games and such were utter shit- Bloodstone was decent but they had a pathetic villian and Goldeneye 2010/Reloaded was so bad it was like strapped to a chair and forced to watch Jersey Shore for 10 hours straight- in other words i would have hunted down and killed every single person involved in making the remake of Goldeneye...i hated it so much!!!

so i hope Skyfall will work out...

I felt the exact same way. I found this a bit funny, In a interview with Daniel Craig he said "and this was before the release of quantum of solace BTW" that they had a great script. After the movie release there was another interview with Daniel Craig "which he said that they had like half a script and he and the director had to come up with the 2nd half of the movie, hence why it was terrible.

The only good thing about the film was Ms. Kurylenko; besides that, I found Quantum of Solace to be rather lacklustre, though Casino Royale was very good, in my opinion. but then again, it was directed by the same guy who directed GoldenEye... I'll wait and see what they'll make of Skyfall. I hope it turns out to be a good film because I wouldn't want to see the franchise sinking into putrescence.

After reading the plot, My hopes has gone up for the next movie, Let's hope they do not disappoint us with this one. I loved Casino Royale but I thought Quantum of Solace was just terrible, The only thing I said when I saw the credits roll at the end was "Uh... What was that?".
Let's hope they don't kill the series.

Die Another Day vs Qantum of Solace..

i cant believe that 63% of votes went to QOS- it was worse than Die Another Day (which was pretty much a faliure itself- the only good things were the PTS, Brosnan as Bond, Judi Dench and Rosmaund Pike getting her kit off and Zao)
