Wake[of]theBunT:
I don't have to do any educating before commenting maybe read my comments again. Presidents can send armed forces anywhere for any reason, which is why Obama is all cherry.
I never said they could declare wars without co-operation from government. Completely different story. And btw the only reason congress needs including is a financial one. If a war is being waged on a scale requiring ongoing troops and funding the congress signs off on exactly that aspect.
What you read from what I said and your example would only be a "political" issue, not a legal one. So congress gets all butt-hurt they were circumvented and claim a president did something without authorization, well unless you declare war the president didn't do anything wrong! Pure politics at work by congress. Which wouldn't be all that surprising.
Jeron [SharpSh00tah]:
Voters I believe did not place bush into office. Remember that in the 2000 elections, Bushs' brother, Jeb, was the governer in Florida. Coincedentially, Florida miscounted the votes (three times, in my recollection), and delayed the results. Research shows that hundreds of dead people, voted for Bush, and threw the election. If Florida ran legitimate counting, Bush would not have gotten into office. Gore would have.
as far as what wake says, he is right (upon clearing up what he said with his second post) I do have to agree.
