I am planning to upgrade my 1,000 year old computer! I have a motherboard that is AM2, but I clamped in a AMD Phenom II X2 555 processor and this what happened:
"
If you install AMD AM3/AM2+ CPU on AM2 motherbord, the system bus speed will downgrade from HT3.0(5200MHz) to HT1.0(2000 MT/s) spec; however, the frequency of AM3/AM2+ CPU will not be impacted."
Maybe that is why every time in when I play CSS, GES it lags even though i have 4GBs of ram, 9800gt 1GB (every detail is set to low) and 30Mbps web connection with around 50 ms ping.So that said, I really need to upgrade to like a intel i5 or i7, SSD, faster video card, all that good stuff you and I know.
Not going to talk about my gaming problem, since I will just do some extensive testing and research and boil down the problem
Oh wow sorry i went wayyy off topic there. What I wanted to say was that I am planning to get a new motherboard with UEFI. If anyone doesnt know what UEFI is please take a brief moment, exit out of GES, @basstronix (pause your fapping for a moment) and watch this video for few minutes and prepare to be mind blown.
Traditional bios is just plain boring, and not really aesthetically appealing. UEFI is a new type of bios that has a revamped GUI as you can see in the video above and gives you moar control and moar information about your motherboard.
Are you guys planning to upgrade to UEFI or do you rather just stick with the traditional AWARD bios?
