terps4life90:
I have decided to do another map instead of complex. This map is from Nightfire 007.  There will be weekly updates/screenshoots, so be on the look out. This map was Kraid's unfinished version of Snowblind. This was one of my favorite maps of Nightfire, I will do my best to make it perfect.

Here are a few screen shots to wet your appetite :D . These screenshots are Work in Progress.

Sounds good Roger, I wish you every success with it!

A more complex Complex?

Make sure that it doesn't get to confusing and visually borring.
Rather think about how complex could look with a different enviroment theme (e.g. the PDS version is a good example).

But honestly, there are allready a lot of versions of this particular map, i don't think we need another one.
Why not create a map which hasn't been made dozends of times before?

I still have a rough version of snowblind (Nightfire) lying arround, in case you're interrested.

The Cy:
kraid is right, complex is just an old hat + sterile design + endless texture repetition.

how about a brand new map? look at the bond movies, so many fabulous places to see and also potential maps:

1.the golden gate bridge from "A View to a Kill" (already designed in goldeneye: rogue agent)

2.train, train, we need train

3. Kananga's Base from "Live and let die"

4. Willard Whytes House, "Diamonds are forever"

5. Blofeld's clinical research institute, "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"

6. Fort Knox, "Goldfinger"

7. Sanchez's villa, "Licence to Kill"
