Shoot While Clicking the flashlight on/off

I just realized this, when your shooting any weapon, and click the flashlight on it completely muffles/mutes the gunshot sound, not sure if this is valve's doing, just thought i'd bring it up.

It's because the flashlight uses the same channel as your firing sound.

I'm sure it could be fixed, but then again... I'm also sure we should be moving towards not needing the flashlight by giving all maps adequate lighting.

How else will we properly convey 'don't shoot' during gameplay if not for the flashlight?

it's already been fixed in 4.1 for the most part...it always muffles the sound in first person, but there are only a few weapons that it silences in third person.
