i've already contacted Session about the grid map he says that he will get the map fixed up and running with Bots in due time..so he might not be in a rush but eventually he will get around to it

I know server operators have a method of replacing missing texture in maps through "methods" that I am not savy with. I bet major, jimbo, or ES would know how to do it.

I think i said it before, there are several possibilities:

1. the mapper includes them into the bsp, which will change the size and CRC of the file.
So if the map with the missing textures is allready hosted by many servers, it should be renamed (recompiled with new version number or something like that) or else there will be a lot of "your map differes from the server" messages for the ppl who allready downloaded the map.
(not everyone knows what to do in this case and where to find the maps folder to delete the old version)

2. a seperate download of the missing files from the server using .res files.
This can be done by any server admin and should be the weapon of choice if the mapper doesn't have a new version of the map.


For future updates, i'd suggest that server admins check all the custom maps for errors before putting them on their servers.
