Installation for v4.1
« on: December 14, 2010, 09:04:56 pm »

I downloaded the newest .exe version for ge, and still can't figure out how to get it installed.  I already read the wiki over and over and searched the forums but still couldnt get it to work.

I have the Source SDK base 2007 installed and have restarted steam a couple of times and the .exe has asked to allow to proceed, but once i hit okay nothing happens.  Can someone help me out?

WAIT.

The installer is huge and it takes a while to verify the files included in it. If you see the consent prompt (Windows 7/Vista Elevation) then you are good to go. You have to wait for the installer to do its thing and depending on your computer's speed that might take up to 5 minutes.

Suggest you restart your computer and run the installer right after you login again and wait for it to get to the initial screen.
