Stupidest "Tech" article I ever read
« on: December 09, 2010, 09:25:38 pm »

http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/12/09/death-hard-drive-cloud-google-chrome/

First of all, this article asserts near the middle that "brand spankin new computers like the mac book air don't even have a hard drive!!!1111!! they have an SSD ooooohhhh"

Fucking written by a liberal arts idiot, clearly. Either way this article pisses me off, hard drives will never be replaced. That's like saying we'll take out the RAM from your computer and put it on the hard drive.

Anyone else have retarded tech articles to share?

Nothing really wrong with that video. Just trying to be the first person out with a video of it, so didn't think of what was gonna say.

p.s. Google loves GE:S

Flash storage and SSD are different. Flash storage is just small and soldered on board. SSD is a dedicated drive.

So when he says it's big for no hard drive, theoretically it should be thinner, and as thickest as the VGA port. Doesn't have a SSD.

His dumbest moment is taking the battery out, then being surprised it powered down...

Is flash storage what they use for the Mac Book Air?

http://www.betanews.com/joewilcox/article/Apples-Mac-App-Store-fundamentally-changes-PC-software-usage-rights/1294367415

I hate Mactards. With a passion.

STEVE JOBS IS A COPY CAT.

This retarded article was written by someone who has never heard of STEAM, you know that game distribution software with 30 million users across Mac and PC that revolutionized the way video games are purchased, played, and owned. Apparantly it wasn't revolutionary enough for him because Mac did something totally different, oh wait, no they didn't. Not even CLOSE.

Such a shame it's a concept so obviously hijacked from Steam. If it catches on then it's just more proof that Mac customers are more than happy to be ripped off paying through the nose for something superficially superior. Well, they bought Macs in the first place didn't they?

I liken Apple customers to people who buy designer perfume. You're paying $60 for a bottle of scented water and you're happy about it.

Then I posted another link from "Beta News" it doesn't matter where you get it from these days (save Ars Technica and The Register) all these "tech writers" are liberal arts majors in disguise. They don't know their NorthBridge from their SouthBridge.

I cannot believe anyone who really thinks that what Apple did is revolutionary. I'm a bit surprised that I didn't hear about this until now (proves how much I care about Apple overall I guess). I just wonder what's next because it's probably too stupid for my brain to even conceive...
