An idea

For starters: Congrats to the team on the many successful releases, it's been a while since I played.

Not to sully the good game that has been created but has anyone considered including a mode that allows you to use character abilities (a la Goldeneye Wii?). Doesn't seem like too bad an idea but I could very well be an idiot.

Outside of specifically made game modes, I find it extremely unlikely.

It's technically possible, someone could make a custom game mode where characters had different attributes, speeds, health, weapon etc...

But as something official I don't see it happening. It's not within the goal of recreating the original experience. Taking concepts from Goldeneye: Wii would also be negatively recieved by all true fans of the original.

It's very do-able as a homebrew scenario.  Live and Let Die does exactly that.  There is no magic Baron Samedi code in the engine.  All the complexity is handled within the scenario script.

It would actually be trivial to do modifications like Boris runs faster, Natalya dies, and Jaws can kill a man with his bare hands.  However, some things are simply outside of the scritps' scope, such as weapon accuracy modifications.
