Not like it matters. Saying a budget card supports DX 10/11 is like saying GE:S has Bot support... sure the code is there... but it doesn't really work.

And when he said PCI/AGP, looking like thats straight PCI not PCI-X.

Yeah, I feel what you're saying major.. If i could get shader v3, d-whatever to just keep up with HL2 I'd be exceedingly happy.

My Board, Yeah it's straight PCI.

I am led to believe that Vista can run Dx11 on SP2..?
Not like I'll be running x84 or w/e though..

CPUID! I have 4gigs in the board but something is only giving me 2..

I had the same board you had, Except I had the VM version. It finished in a scrapyard.
Anyway, For the RAM, Have you done a Memtest? Some of your memory might be defective, That's why it only detects 2GB. Although it might be something else.
Make sure they are all tucked in correctly, And go see how much RAM you have in the BIOS.

Well your pic shows your have one 512mb stick. So to have 4gb you would have a very odd memory lineup. None of your ram would be in Dual channel. You could have 4 512mb sticks(that would make sense, and equal 2GB)

Lol sorry folks, I'm pretty illiterate when it comes to hardware..

So, I'm a little besmirched to the graphic card buying lol, most of the ones in my price go up to DX10 and it doesn't list any shader information?

Go on Wikipedia and search for the graphic card model, They usually tell the Shader version.
