Yeah, I feel what you're saying major.. If i could get shader v3, d-whatever to just keep up with HL2 I'd be exceedingly happy.

I had the same board you had, Except I had the VM version. It finished in a scrapyard.
Anyway, For the RAM, Have you done a Memtest? Some of your memory might be defective, That's why it only detects 2GB. Although it might be something else.
Make sure they are all tucked in correctly, And go see how much RAM you have in the BIOS.
